2025 Royal Rumble Entry and Winner Predictions


Ahh! WrestleMania Season is now upon us and the road that leads to WrestleMania begins this Saturday Feb 1st at 6 PM Eastern/5 PM Central on Peacock. Join Echo Oatmeal and this Discombobulated Mom as we discuss our predicted entries and winners for the 30 man/30 woman Royal Rumble Matches.

The Breakdown: This Years Royal Rumble should be one for the history books.  On top of being John Cena’s last Royal Rumble, it is also quite possibly the last Royal Rumble on US soil for a bit.  The newly Established Partnership with TNA as well as a new emphasis on the NXT roster slightly lowers the field of active main roster superstars competing. What surprises could WWE have for us this year?

So, with the women’s Royal Rumble, my 2 biggest things are I believe Alexa still shows up because we have been told she won’t, and the other thing is I think Jade makes a huge comeback that will show the fans whether Bianca and Naomi were the culprits or if charlotte Flair was Indeed the attacker all along.  I do believe there may be something to it being Flair. Mostly I am starting to lean this way because they have hinted at Bianca and/or Naomi being behind it all along. It is just like WWE to throw a curve ball.  I expect to see some NXT talent in the form of Roxanne, Stephanie Vaquer and Lash as well as Masha Slamovich from TNA. I also expect some surprises in the form of Nikki Bella and Trish Stratus. I am totally looking forward to Jordynne Grace’s WWE Debut.  I think the final 2 comes down to Jade and Charlotte with Charlotte narrowly getting the W.

EO: These have no rhyme or reason, it's just how I think things will pan out. I do believe Sexy Redd threw hints that she wanted to be in the Rumble, and I think she would be a great surprise. I still don’t think AJ Lee will show up. I know CM Punk hinted at a big surprise, but I think that will be in the men’s Rumble.  I just can’t see where Charlotte loses this match, though. I do think Nikki Bella, and Trish will offer a nostalgic feel as well as keep things interesting.

Lita -Would love to see her show up to finally get back at Trish

 Jaida Parker -I have really been impressed with Ms. Parker. She has beauty, Mic Skills and is a hard hitter

Rosemary- I am not as up on TNA as you are but when she showed up in NXT the pop was insane. 

 

Now let us move on to the men’s Rumble. I feel like we are on the same wavelength generally here with a few minor differences.

I am much less sure of the Men’s RR.  On One hand I would LOVE Cena to get the accolade of being a 3-time winner. He has been a company man and has never strayed anywhere but to Hollywood.  But I think Goldberg showing up and getting the win just to get his hands on Gunther would be epoch.   CM Punk and Jacob Fatu are my potential picks for runner up and there has been some discussion about Dominik sneaking into that final 4. The Rumble should be pretty exciting with some returns in the form of AJ Styles, Ilja Dragonov, and a returning Omos as well as NXT Contenders Oba Femi and Trick Williams. The most talked about entry of the night will likely be Joe Hendry from TNA. I also see one of the announcers making a return. I think Pat having done it previously, would leave Graves and Barrett. Both have been cleared for action but with Graves not being on the commentary team for the Rumble, he could potentially be making his comeback.

I am looking forward to seeing Joe Hendry in the Royal Rumble as well as NXT notables like Trick Williams and Oba Femi.  It would be awesome to see Trick and Carmelo Hayes run back their feud in the middle of that ring.  I also think it is telling how we both have Corey Graves getting back in the ring. It feels obvious to me that Cena is going to be the winner, as he is in his final days of wrestling, and I think that John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes would make for a great final WrestleMania match for Cena, and a good way to turn Cody heel. I think CM Punks remarks about a Royal Rumble Surprise involves Rhea entering the Men’s Rumble. An interesting thought to me is how she is on the official poster but is not slated to be in a match. That is why I believe a men’s Rumble entry is inevitable. I think she will do well and finish #2 behind Cena.  Despite what I feel will happen, I genuinely want Goldberg to be in the Rumble and win to face Gunther, as that would be an amazing retirement match for Goldberg as well. All that considered, my head tells me that Cena will be the victor in the Rumble.


Other Potential Surprise entries

Echo Oatmeal

 Bill Goldberg-  I want to see a finish to the story between he and Gunther This would be an awesome way to do it.

         Randy Orton-  He is still on injury but a RR comeback and face off with Cena would have all the feels

                 Mustafa Ali- He just rejoined the TNA Roster, is the partnership with WWE & potential Rumble return be why?

Booker T- He recently returned to in-ring action in his ROW Promotion could he step in the squared circle to face off with today's best?

Discombobulated Mom

               Matt Cardona- he has been incredibly vocal about wanting to come back in the royal rumble and I am here for it.

Moose- a TNA notable who has drawn praise. WWE missed an opportunity with a match between he and Bobby Lashley

Rob Van Dam- A Favorite who can still go. His appearance would draw so much pop.

 Daniel Bryan- He recently retired from In Ring competition, but could a RR appearance set him up for the HoF?

Saturday Night Main Event Card and Predictions for January 25th

  It is that time again for WWE’s Saturday Night Main Event Live from San Antonio, TX Saturday January 25 th at 8 Eastern/7 central on NBC and Peacock.   The card is packed with championship matches which leads to the potential of at least 1 title change. Will Sheamus FINALLY get that IC title to become a Grand Slam Champion or will Jey Uso “Yeet” on out of San Antonio with a new piece of hardware.  Just in time Echo Oatmeal and I have our insights on the who, what, winners and why.
